UpBeat Daily's FTP does not support internet browser (ie. Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari).
You may only access the server with a FTP Client (ie. Fetch, Transmit).

All FTP info is case-sensitive. Please set FTP client to "Passive (PASV)" mode.


Specifications & Requirements
AD MATERIALS
Ad materials may be submitted in electronic format only if the following conditions are met:
1) Macintosh platform. Please contact us regarding PC files.
2) We accept the following file formats: EPS, TIF, High-Resolution PDF, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Illustrator (All links embedded and fonts converted to outlines/paths) and QuarkXPress (All graphics and MAC version screen and printer fonts must accompany file). PC fonts are not accepted.
3) A laser proof and a Matchprint or comparable color proof must accompany the files.
A faxed laser or screen PDF proof must
accompany e-mailed/FTP’d ads.
4) Convert all colors to CMYK and delete any unused colors from file.
5) Ad material should be supplied on CD-R or before Ad Material due dates.
6) Advertiser will be responsible for cost of film
outputs and proofs.
7) All disks become property of Music Inc. and
cannot be returned.

PRODUCTION CHARGES
Advertiser billed at publisher’s cost for typesetting, key changes or other copy alterations, making negatives from art work or electronic files, duplicating negatives and veloxes, alterations or repair to negatives or artwork, etc.
PROOFS
Proofs for OK of typeset ads sent to advertiser if copy is received by deadline.
LIABILITY
Publisher has no liability for artwork or negatives held beyond six months.
LEGAL RESPONSIBILITY
Advertisers and advertising agencies warrant that the material submitted to the publisher does not infringe on the rights of others. Advertisers and advertising agencies agree to indemnify and save the publisher harmless from all claims, including reasonable attorney’s fees, arising out of the publication of the material submitted, including but not limited to claims of libel, copyright infringement and violations of the rights of privacy of others.
RATES AND CONTRACT CONDITIONS
Subject to change upon notice from publisher. Advertisers and advertising agencies are presumed to have read this rate card and agree to its conditions without further contract or notice. First-time advertisers must remit full payment, less 2% discount, by closing date of issue. The only exception is for orders from recognized agencies. Ads exceeding standard dimensions will be billed at the next standard size.
COMMISSIONS & DISCOUNTS
AGENCY COMMISSION
15% to recognized agencies if ads are paid for within 30 days of invoice date. Commission not allowed on classified advertising or on production charges. No commission if ads are not paid for within 45 days.
CASH DISCOUNT
2% on net (after agency commission) if paid within 10 days of invoice date.
PAST DUE ACCOUNTS
Subject to 1.5% per month interest charge on unpaid balance. The advertiser and its agency are jointly liable for payment.

COPY REQUIREMENTS
CANCELLATIONS
R.O.P. ads cannot be cancelled after ad closing date. Cancellations of covers, inserts and special positions must be made 30 days prior to normal closing date.
REBATES & SHORT RATES
Advertiser rebate applied if within a contract year they have used sufficient space to warrant a lower rate. Advertiser short rate billed if within a contract year they do not use the amount of space upon which their billings have been based.
ACCEPTANCE OF ALL ADVERTISING
Subject to publisher approval.
